I really want to lose weight fast. I am 13 5'1'' and 140 pounds. There is this girl i really like and i want to ask her out but i think i need to lose a lot of weight. Pllz help!!!!

Pllzz no hieght will even you out... i've been through 1 growth spurt. Hmmm... no fr3ak!ng difference. I just want to lose like 5lbs in a week without killing my self.

While it is important for you to maintain a healthy diet and exercise, there is no way and no need to "lose weight fast." Anybody who claims to have a solution to this is just trying to sell you something. You can lose weight slowly by getting regular exercise and watching what you eat. Grab a book on dieting and spend part of every day getting your heart rate up with some good old-fashioned exercise. But don't overdo it and don't set unrealistic time goals for yourself-- that will only distress you, and it sounds like you don't need that.

Give yourself a little credit and be a little patient with yourself. I know you probably don't like to be reminded of the fact that you are not grown, and you will think poorly of anybody who points out that your hormones are going crazy right now. But the fact is that they are, and you simply have not grown into your body. You will grow into it in time, and as aggravating as it is for an impatient teenager, you're just going to have to accept that anything worth having is worth working for and waiting for. This includes a heatlhy body and a girlfriend.

What's more important is how you feel about yourself. If this girl needs you to be a male model to be interested in you, then I'm sorry to say that she's not for you. You probably feel that the whole world hinges on this one potential heartbreak, but it really doesn't. Take a deep breath and remind yourself of all the things you like about yourself, and then put yourself out there with confidence. Ask her if she likes you, and if she doesn't then as awful as it is, you will survive it. If having a thirteen year old girl politely tell you that she is only interested in you as a friend is the most embarrassing and sad thing that ever happens to you, then people will say of you that you lead a charmed life. And knowing for sure what kind of shot you have will feel a lot better than being afraid.

Either way, you have a body that is designed to be perfect for you. If you are really exercising and you're not eating a lot of sugar, grease, and fat food, but keeping to whole grains and vegetables, then think really hard about how to be happy with what you're given... but don't obssess over how to fix yourself, because you can make yourself crazy and seriously sick that way.

Trust me, I'm staring down the barrel of thirty, and I'm still waiting to get taller. I know what you're going through, and the bottom line is that it sucks, but if I had it do over again, I would have assumed that every girl I liked in high school was crazy about me and acted accordingly, until proven otherwise. Be your charming, considerate, funny self, and that's what people will see. I promise.

Be careful about the "fast" part, as mentioned it usually causes more problems than it solves. I'm an impatient type myself and what losing weight fast has done for me is wreck my metabolism so now I have to work twice as hard as the average bear to lose half the weight. I did go on Atkins last Fall and found it to be a better way to lose weight more quickly than just 'watching what you eat' and without being as unhealthy as fasting, or some of the diets that seriously restrict what you can eat. Top off any diet plan with plenty of regular exercise, and you should be on your way. Just remember, if you get to your goal weight but return to your 'old ways' the pounds will return. If you want to stay a smaller size you'll need to make a lifestyle change. Good luck to you!

Well, i lost some pounds after i stopped eating rice. I watched what i ate, i ate a lot more salads, and i worked out. Like just taking a walk around the neighborhood or just weight lifting some 5lbs dumbells. It doesn't hurt either to do 50 crunches in the morning and at night. Try and stay away from fast foods, foods that are greasy and you just know isn't healthy for you. If you do eat them, eat them in small portions. Eating things in small portions do help! Also, try not to drink soda all the time. Drink water. i use to weight 160 and now i weight 134. Its all about knowing whats healthy for you and whats not. And being able to have control over what you eat! Good luck! :)

I totally know how u feel!! If u wanna lose weight the best thing to do is exercise for a start. If u dont wanna go jogging outside or whatever u should get a stepper coz u can use it inside while watching TV or something - it really does help alot!! Also, you could eat like 100-200 less calories that recommended for your age (but no fewer or you'll start to starve). If you do feel like snaking or something then you could eat some celery coz u actually burn calories while eating it!! Hope that this helped you!!

Ok so I agree with some of these people here that you do not need to loose weight for any girl, but you should try to loose weight for yourself and your health. The best was to do this is exercise about 30 minutes everyday. Cut out sugar ie: candy, soda's, cake....drinks lots of water, eat healthy such as grilled chicken breast, fish ( salmon is the best type of fish to eat if you want to loose weight) snack on veggies ie: carrot and celery sticks eat fruit. No chips, stay away from salt. Eat salads but don't drench them with dressing, instead use lemon and vinegar. If your trying to loose weight never starve yourself or try to take diet pills, they don't work. You can eat as much as you want, but eat healthy. Good luck

You don't need to lose weight for a girl! Just be a nice caring person and you aren't overweight. If you want to eat healthier just cut out sweets, and sodas.

Well I am a girl and im 14 and stuggling with my weight myself..

Ok, trust me. if the girl likes you and you like her go for it! maybe she likes you, weight does not matter at all...
shoot im 5'2 and same weight as you. and i want to lose 20 lbs, but lately i think its impossible.

But,
1.Eat healthy 'ya know throw away the junk food' even tho i love it lol'

2. just be more active- you can- run/walk/swim/ride bike/sit ups/crunches/ ANYTHING!

You sound like an average kid your age. I don't think you need to lose weight. And you are too young to be losing weight anyways. Just be yourself!

your too young to loose weight and too young for girls focus on school. your height will jump a few inches soon and level your weight out you have a lot of growing left to do
