If your period is regular- the week when your period is due.
If your period is not regular... then... when you are in doubt after an unprotected encounter.

It's best too wait until you miss a period. You are less likely to get a false negative this way. Honestly it all depends on how sensitive the preg. test is. What is the lowest level of HCG that specific test can detect. I got a positive within 7 days, but the preg. test I took could detect down to 10 IU of HCG. Many you buy in a store does not go this low. The lowest most will detect is 25 IU.

As early as 5 days before your period was due. For example, my cycle is due on Monday, the 23, and I tested this morning. But it was negative :-( It really depends on the pregnancy and the test used. With my first son, I had to wait until my period was late. With my second son my cycle was due on the 22, and I tested positive on the 17th. I have found with my own experience, and internet research that the first response test is the most sensitive. Good luck!

Some home tests offer results as early as your first day of missed period. It will tell you on the box how soon you can use each brand to get an accurate result.

Usually you would have to wait for your missed period but most pregnancy can detect a pregnancy hormone as little as 2 weeks after the conception....

uaually the day of the missed period. If you are normally regular. But if ur not i would wait like a week or two then take a test.

I waited 3 days after a my missed period. But I had a gut feeling I was.. But good luck!

Some pregnancy tests will detect the hormone levels 2 days BEFORE your period. any time after you are late is also OK

usually the day after your period is supposed to start. Some tests you can use 4 days before your missed period.
