I'm in the UK, and have never even watched American Idol, but since all the question on Yahoo! about Sanjaya, I've looked him up on YouTube.
I feel I know more about him now than I do about pop stars in this country.
It's pathetic how one person gets so much publicity from the show.

i feel so sorry for this young man. all he did was try out for a/i. he did not put his self on to the next round the judges did. was he the best NO not even close BUT he did not keep his self on the show voters did just to make fun of him. he went to a baseball game and was introduced over the speakers and was BOOED . that made me so ashamed of our people. hes a 17 year old kid who does not deserve the treatment he has got. if you have children i hope no one treats your child in such a way in private much less in public eye. I SAY GOOD LUCK TO YOU IN ALL YOU DO SANJAYA..........................

I hate american idol, haven't watched one episode this season and I still know a crapload about Sanjaya...that's shameful!

I was, but kinda felt bad when he started to cry last night. I give him props for being able to put up with all the media pressure throughout the competition.
