No. People that go to the university and people that are fans of the school mascot/teams are hokies.
To put us all together and say "we're all hokies" is ignorant. Yes, we all feel terrible about the loss experienced by VTech and related familes. But that shouldnt have anything to do with what football team you like.
I am appalled that the memorial service was turned into a pep rally.

No i am not a hokie. I feel bad for them and prayers go out to them, But i am not a hokie and unless you went to Virginia tech then you are not a Hokie either. Just cause you are not a hokie doesnt mean you cant pray from them though in their time of need, but that dont make you a hokies.
By the way a hokie is a castrated turkey. supposely castrating a turkey is suppose to make the turkey go wild or something.

What's a hokie? DON'T say it's the mascot of Va. Tech. I wanna know what a Hokie is. I am a UNLV Rebel most of the time, but i stand by Va. Tech for the tragedy they're suffering through.

I grew up here in Virginia near VT
Im a Wahoo personally (Go UVA)
but i think i can put the rivalry aside and consider myself a Hokie =)
