no you do not have to change your name and everything done by the IRS is done by your social security number not your name,pay your support

No you dont have to change your name. But you should want to. It is a slap in the face to your man if you choose not to take his name.

you shouldn't have to change your name, regardless of where you live.

they will go by SS #'s not last names. Mine has changed since my son got into "the system" & we still get his daddy's child support payments.
