You can design sports cars but can't figure out how to connect with manufacturing? The short answer is to stuff your best work into hand luggage and take the bus to corporate headquarters. Walk right in. I'm sure they want to meet you.
The slower course is to patent your work and hire an agent
to represent you.
Third, attend a job fair as scheduled by the manufacturers,
usually at a state university. Dust off your degree(s).

Check out the links below where you'll find more info on a career in car design, design schools, and discussion forums, etc. The automotive design field is highly competitive, but there are opportunities to design cars that you might not have considered, such as specialization in renderings. Best of luck.

Call the manufacturers and see if they are interested in them. To be honest, I doubt that they will, they have a ton of professional designers and pay them well. Start with the big three auto guys and go from there.

You may ask them if they have any design competitions in or around your location. Who knows?
