pffttt no way. My brother in-law has supposedly been collecting rent on our old house for the last 7 years. And he is suppose to buy it from us. We haven't seen a penny. A few months ago he calls begging to borrow a few thousand dollars to pay back taxes on his store. My doofus husband gave it to him. 6 months we still haven't seen a penny for either. Meantime the moocher and my husbands sister are flying all over the country to Elks lodge events and racking up huge bar tabs. I smell a rat a big fat rat.

If it were up to me I would have called a lawyer a long time ago.

I have loaned money to family member and I don't expect them to pay it back. They're having financial problems and I would feel terrible if I took the money.

I would not loan a family member money, but I would give it to them.

I loan any one money, that's just the way I am! Some pay it back and some don't.

I don't believe in loaning people money. You give it to them and if they pay you back then it's a nice surprise. If you expect to get the paid back then you're running the risk of a very big disappointment

You kind of have the cart before the horse babe - !st you wonder if they will pay it back and then you decide to loan them money. If you don't think they'll pay - tell them no.

Personally I normally don't but if I did I'd loan with out ever really expecting it back. Then if it's repaid I am pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed or upset if it isn't.

It depends which one, I just lent my sister-inlaw $20 but I know I will get it back, I would never lend large amounts
