With the amount of guns out there, is it simply too late to prevent mass shootings? Almost monthly here in Las Vegas, there is a student caught with a gun at local middle and high schools! What are these kids doing with a gun at school? Is it the gangland mentality? Is it rap, and glorifying drive-by shootings, that is part of the problem?! Sadly, the question is not "IF" another school shooting will happen, but "WHEN".

You won't have mass shootings in schools where there are armed gangsters, for what that's worth. A mass murderer knows better than to try in a place like that.
And guns are not the only way to kill large numbers, unfortunately, but I'll not say more about that.
One thing that would have helped in this case and some others, would be a better screening process to make sure that gun buyers don't suffer from a serious mental illness. This gunman had been committed to hospital before, but he lied about it on the gun purchase form.
Of course he might have bought guns illegally then, but I'm not sure he had the social abilities to do so, isolated as he was.

The gun control crowd has disarmed the law abiding citizens, and made them(us) sitting ducks for any homicidal maniac. It is only a matter of time before the next SOB rises up like a snake and starts shooting. All law abiding citizens should carry a weapon and know how to use it. Especially women. They are the prey for crazed out of control men. The police obviously cannot defend a person in that 30-60 second window of danger. No doubt the VT murderer could have been dispatched before getting the huge number of people slain that he did if at least some of them were armed. Not many people are 'crazed' enough to try to kill 32 police officers in their station because they know that they will be shot back at early on. Even a 'crazed' killer is not that stupid.

The bad guys prefer unarmed victims!!.
When seconds matter calling 911 and asking the bad guy to wait is not a viable option.

Better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it!!!
**Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens.**

So you are against the private ownerships of gun! Do you believe in fire extinguishers? Why, you can always call the fire department!!

No Weapons Allowed
Criminals this is a defense free zone
All law abiding people have been disarmed for you

You said that it isn't IF but WHEN another attack happens. Well, let me tell you one thing, if you are so worried about it, talk with your local schools, see if you can cut down these 'popular' kids and these 'unpopular' kids, and then IF there are any shootings, you would know that it wasn't any single person's fault but the sicko that was on the side pumping bullets.
