So far I have been successful in changing my last name to my husbands on my drivers license, and insurance. However, I am having a problem with understanding how to change my name on my social security card. Does anyone know what you need to bring/send in order to change your name and get a new social security card??

What did you use to change your DL and Insurance???? I bet that works at the SS office as well......Longer line to wait in though.

take your current social security card, your drivers license & marriage certificate to your local SS office.

You can do it online. Search for Social Security Administration and there are instructions on how to do it there.

Marriage certificate, and photo id, should do it. Call the SS bureau before you go to be sure. I think you can do it online to. Congrats on the marriage. : )

You need the certified copy of your marriage license.

All you need is your current driver license and S.S.# and your marriage certificate...
