Are the hotel rooms located in the tower itself??? Or in a building on the side of the Stratosphere tower? I've never actually looked at the tower up close, but I don't recall ever seeing windows along the sides of the tower.

The rooms at the Stratosphere are not located in "THE" tower, they are however located in towers.

The Stratosphere "World Tower" rooms are their standard ROH rooms - It was the tower that opended with casino in 1996. The new "Premier Tower" rooms opened 3 years ago or so. The Stratosphere also has some very nice suites at very reasonable prices.

Definitely not in the tower! That's how you get up to the viewing area, and where you go for the insane rollercoaster ride! I stayed there a few years ago, and our room (standard) was on the third floor, facing the back of the building...great shot of the air conditioners for the casino floor down below!

The rooms are located above the casino. The tower is next to the casino.
