Cut & Run, Appeasement, Ostrich, Cut the Cheese, it all seems to fit.
I am surprised that Jane Fonda isn't over in Tehran saying she'd like to shoot down an American plane or help the Iranians by funding their nuclear technology.

No...you can't have a war that last forever, commiting troops and money, in a country as small as Iraq. We either need to win or get out before we waste more lives, time and money on a hopeless cause. When Nixon wants out of Nam it's "peace with hounor" when Democrates want out of Iraq it's "cut and run." amazing.

Let's see, liberal Democrats wanted to cut and run from Vietnam. Nixon obliged them and millions were killed in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia as a result.
Liberal Democrats want to cut and run from Iraq, where the enemy is coming to us. If we cut and run, more carnage than we are seeing now will be the result.
FOX News is supposed to host a debate among the Democrat presidential candidates. Most if not all have backed out, cut and run again.
Oh, let's not forget Teddy Kennedy who cut and ran and left a girl to drown so he could save his liberal butt.
I would say Democrats deserve the title, "cut and run".

As my grandfather always said -- call a spade a spade.
For Steve C: You're not really that easily tricked, are you?
The so-called funding bill was nothing but Democrat pork. Most of the money was ear-marked for useless socialistic programs and not for war and military funding. All the Dems want is to get our boys killed by making sure they don't have supplies. They want to lose the war - but they are so short sighted that they can't see losing there only brings a bigger war here an abroad. SICK BASTARDS

I think the day after 9/11 we should have nuked Afghanistan.
And I think since we are in Iraq we should finish the job and leave them in a stable situation.
And I am a Democrat.

No. Bush will be the one pulling the plug on funding.
Bill in Kansas: Were you complaining about pork laden bills when the rubberstamp republicans were sending them up? Where was your outrage when Bush didn't veto them?
Yup, I'll call a spade a spade: Bill, you're a partisan hack.

Not to anyone who isn't a far right winger. Cut and run isn't anything but a Bush created phrase to slander anyone who doesn't agree with him and his war policies. This Administration has subsisted on rhetoric like this garbage. Cut and run, if you're not with us you're against us, liberal media, stay the course, and on and on and on. It's as if they think the rest of us aren't smart enough to see through it and see it for what it is. Recognizing a failed war policy and seeking to correct it isn't cutting and running. It's being intelligent enough to recognize reality and deal with it. But then, reality doesn't seem to be one of Bush's and his follower's strong points.

"Cut and run" is a Republican talking point to "attack" anyone wanting the Iraq conflict to be shortened.
There is also the divisive "With us of against us" another psychological ploy to attack anyone who questions a policy.
ps. If it wasn't for public outcry there wouldn't even be a surge, just more target practice for the insurgency.
