The other poster was right, when I go to Europe, I don't see beached whales everywhere, sweat pants, over sized t-shirts, bad hair, etc. In Europe, I see women that leave the house looking good and dressed presentable.
To all American women, there is nothing wrong with keeping yourself in order, dressing appropriately and fixing your hair every morning. You should take lessons from the Euro women.

Yes, NYC women in General are better than other women from accross America but you still have your elements of crappy looking women that do not know how to dress and fix their hair.

um here in NYC everyone dresses to the nines and looks fabulous maybe you should move out of the backwoods and come to a city where you can experience real people and culture. u don't need to go to Europe to experience that u ignorant fool!

Not all American Women go out looking like slobs. Have you noticed some of the Men in America??? The society as a whole has gone downhill, with fast food restaurants on every corner and the long hours people have to work. As an American woman I find it disrespectful that you would think that everyone looks like a beached whale. I personally take pride in looking good, and maintaining a slim figure. I though was blessed with good genes, so I am able to eat what I want and not gain weight. Some people aren't so lucky, they try to lose it and have no luck, or they've always been heavy. Either way it definatly is hurtful to compare them to whales.

I've been to several countries in Europe, have lived in one. Although some american women are extremely repulsive by how far they let themselves go, Europe does the same. Not ALL women walk out looking primped or "looking good" whatever that may mean. I think there are several women that could spend more time on their appearance even if it's just their clothing and hair but I don't think America is as trashy as you make it in comparison to Europe.
LOL "Krazykittyblu's" made a FANTASTIC point!!! How many men look disgusting in America? SEVERAL! How narrow minded to generalize women. Seems like a double standard. I find that a lot of European men look unkempt and unattractive like they didn't even try. There are some that look presentable but wow...

Sounds like you are either A) very picky or B) very uptight. That was not an insult, just an observation.
One day, if you are not already, you will be married and I pity the woman you marry, if you expect to wake up in the morning and see her dressed to the nines and make-up not smeared on the pillowcase.
Can I assume that you wear a suit and tie everyday? Do you shave every morning (including the weekends)? Have you ever gone out in public in jeans and a T-shirt?
Give me a break. Most women, if they are going out on a date or work in a profesional setting, do go out dressed nicely. Most women, though will tell you that they are no different than you...they want to be comfortable and sometimes they just don't care to do the whole dressing up for a quick run to the grocery store.
It is not American woman that are the problem...it is American men who feel that every woman alive is only supposed to look like a runway model. If you want a "trophy" g/f, wife, whatever, that is your choice. Leaves the real women to us regular guys.

Obviously since your major hang up is based solely on appearances, you'll never get any girl worth having...American or European for that matter. The women you have seen here in America more than likely look the way they do partly because of guys like you. Do you think you would want to look nice for someone who only wants you for your appearances? While I do believe in taking care of yourself, everyone (even you) has days where they just dont feel good about themselves. Have enough bad days with a person like you and I can easily understand how a woman's sense of self worth could go down the drain. See a woman for the person she is not whether or not she's a trophy wife or whether or not your guy friends want to sleep with her. A real woman will remain desireable beyond her outwardly appearance, providing she doesnt run in to someone like you. Good luck in finding what life is really about!

Part of it has to do with that fact that here people are trying to say that women are the ultimate power, that would mean that they are in control no matter what. Well, that also makes many of them think that no matter what they look like guys are going to go after them. I am a lady, I hate to say that I do not look like I did about 4 years ago, but I have had 4 miscarriages and the last one caused my kidneys to shut down...which caused weight gain.
That hasn't stopped me from trying to get my pre-baby bod back. I work out all the time, try to keep my hair fixed, and try to dress in an appropriate manner.

what we dont deserve to lounge around sometimes? Maybe if you men would learn how to work and hold jobs that are worth a darn the woman wouldnt have to work which would allow her enough time to fix herself up a bit. how many euro girls do you suppose work anywhere other than a whorehouse? Men support those girls. Here in America you are lucky to find a decent man who is willing to bring home all the bacon or any bacon at all as far as that goes.Sexy and attractive isnt as great as it sounds. How about happy and nice or sweet and kind those traits dont matter anymore? I am not defending those who dont take care of themselves but I have to stand up for the woman who has to do a mans job by day and then a womans job by night. I am attractive in a pair of sweatpants anyways im clean and smell good but I sure dont have the time to roll my hair and paint my nails everyday. Outside shouldnt matter as much as inside anyways

Do not categorize every American or Europe woman to what you believe is true.
There are a lot of American women (including myself) who attends to their personal appearance and not just presentable but look exquisite every time we walk out the door on a daily basis and who is not overweight looking like a beached whale...

You should go to Europe and stay there. I can never understand attitudes like yours. If you don't like it here, go there. There is an old saying you would do well to heed: "It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness." So, do something. Move to Europe!

I hear you!!!I think the reason is not that women in America do not want to look nice.It is just the life is so busy with all the deadlines.That people realize instead of wearing high hills to work,it is comfortable to put on the snickers.
And cultures are also very different.
But I have encountered many women that take care of their looks.Sometimes it depends where you live.
It also takes time to do hair,make up and clothes in the morning.
I already started to slack off and enjoy more easy going attitude.But just a little bit.Still want to keep my culture.
By the way,which country did you go to?
