The Secret is based on the "Law of Attraction" which states that personal "thought vibrations" can somehow impact your personal state of affairs. Simply put, the idea is that if you emit your positive thoughts into the universe you will be rewarded with whatever it is you desire.

First of all, calling this personal philosophy a "law" is misleading. Doing so implies it's scientifically proven, like the Law of Gravity, which it isn't.

The Secret is the lastest product released by self-help snake oil salesmen. A positive/negative attitude does not have a direct impact on the universe. It does not reach out and touch people, things or cosmic energies that you have had no personal contact with. There is absolutely no evidence to support this assertion.

There is anecdotal "evidence" that the Secret has existed for centuries. It's existence has been kept under wraps by those wealthy and powerful people who have used it. The author, through bald-faced speculation, connects people like Henry Ford, Isaac Newton and Winston Churchill who all have the Secret to thank for their success.

The real secret here is that the author has created a new version of New Age pseudoscience in the effort to make herself wealthy. I would call this book/DVD "the Miracle" because it's a miracle how so many people could fall for this garbage.

This movie was amazing. It really did make me believe that positive thinking makes positive things happen. I now have a dream board that I look at everyday and I am working very hard to make it reality and I know that I can. This movie just reaffirmed what life is about, living it to the fullest and never letting the word "can't" stop you.
