Use sterile scissor type pruning shears (not the anvil type pruners). Cut the branch or branches to the desired height and seal the cut end with latex caulk or spackling. The plant will now branch out from below the cut.
The parts you have pruned off, allow these to dry (callous over) for one week. When this happens, dip it in rooting hormone according to directions on the bottle. Plant in a one gallon container filled with loose well draining soil medium. Water well and set on concrete in full sun (warm temps) and it will root in approximatly one to two months and you will have a new Plumeria to enjoy. Do not water until it has rooted. When claws start appearing from the top of the cutting, mist it until actual roots appear. Good luck and enjoy.
