well u see...its not that ur supposed to find someone its just that most people just want to find someone to "complete them" so then other people kinda feel pressured to get married and find "the one" when really all we want is someone to have a good time with and can say they belong to us...

For most of us, it is simply evolution.... we were meant to be partnered, and the drive to do so is in the hormones.... If that were not the case Homo sapiens would have died out long ago..... Thus, most of us marry. Sometimes we don't marry a compatible person, or the marriage wears out --- teeth wear out, carpets do, cars do, and so do marriages. We were never meant to live to be 70 or 80. Only 200 years ago, life expectancy was 33, and still is in parts of Africa, India, etc. But we are just simply pre-programmed to find a mate...

it is a life choice i guess. i have been married almost 18 years and have known my wife for thirty years and could not see myself in any other situation. i have friends who are not married and they seem to be fine. i guess it is your upbringing and what you want out of life. religion plays a role and so does the society you grow up within. i don't know if you need someone but if we evolved from monkeys, idts, then it is the evolutinary desire to procreate. the point is to find happiness in whatever you do and NEVER settle for less. as far as the frustation comment, you will be doing it your whole life whether it be work, home, friends, school or whatever. the point is,don't depend on others for your happiness.

Girl, that is my question too. Im 28 and dont understand why i just dont feel the need to get married when most women would cant wait to meet the right guy and have lots of babies. I just dont see myself like that....I see myself independant, beautiful, in style, and single for more years to come!! I thought i was the only one who felt this way... I was beginning to think i was "nuts"!!

Because it is in our nature to desire the love of the opposite sex. God made women for men and vice versa therefore we have this desire to find that life mate that we are really designed to desire. Everyone wants someone to love and that will love them and have the intimacy that only that special person can share with us. God said "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave (be joined) to his wife and the two shall be one". We were created that way.

WOW, what a question. I'm impressed.
There really is no need for it. Actually all you're doing is getting yourself in problems. The thing is that we all hope to be able to find some one to share our life experience with; but, if we don't, it shouldn't be such a big deal.

I think we have evolved enough to realize we don't have to be married to be happy or accepted. Each of us is different. Enjoy being single. Marriage isn't what its all cracked up to be.

"we" don't need to find someone to make us complete; we are already complete people. Humans, by nature, pair off; you on the other hand, may just find being single the way you want to spend your life.......it's the beauty of life, it's yours to live the way you want to live it....just dont forget, you only have one of them......

that's b/c that's the way we were created. God said it is not good for man to live alone. also he said that is why a young man will leave his father and his mother...to become one with his wife.
its just natural
