I light of every other question being about VT, I giggle at yours! When I was a kid in the 70's, we used to link them together to make necklaces. We then covered them with funky contact paper or (gasp!) paper mache. Hey, it was the 70's! We also made earrings out of them, since they slide into your earholes easily without much re-shaping. If you know of anyone from that era, this might be a good idea for some gift ideas. p.s. what other senseless artifacts might you collect? just wondering...

modern art. :) create a sculpture. the metal used for paperclips is pretty easy to solder, and you can solder them together in mad shapes. or, if you're really daring, and want to be able to reuse the clips, make jewelry...necklaces, bracelets, etc. it's really pretty easy.
or, you could try giving them to a local business or something- or even the records department of a nonprofit organization.
