Why do (predominantly) liberals want to violate the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding CITIZENS in the USA?

Folks, let's get this straight. The 2nd amendment was written so that the citizens of our country could rise up and overthrow the government if it became detrimental to the population of our country, nothing more, nothing less. The framers didn't want to see the government as the only ones with guns. The guns the amendment is trying to protect are the guns our CITIZENS would need to overthrow our own government. The problem is that it's already been rendered completely useless... the framers weren't thinking in the concepts of missles, tanks, hand grenades, or uzis. The citizens would have absolutely no chance vs. today's military. The guns that they were protecting in the 2nd amendment were in our citizen's homes, and usually the SAME guns that they would have brought WITH THEM to battle. We rage on and on about the 2nd amendment, but the body is already dead, and we're just arguing about the color of the flowers.

If they are in fact LEGAL immigrants, there is no problem, I just listened to Rush and he was saying that exact thing. Under that visa, he is afforded Constitutional protections, same to own a firearm. Please provide us with some conservatives because I could point out some libs that not only want to infringe on the 2nd amendment right of immigrants, but American citizens as well.

Because they have a huge problem with the widening gap between the rich and poor and lessening tendency for people to be able to move up in class. They want the cheep labor for big business and they want to be able to hold up numbers showing how great things are in the US.

In my opinion, the 2nd Admendment as well as the whole Constitution and Bill of Rights should only apply to citizens of the United States. If you want these rights and priviledges, become a citzen.
The Constitution starts out "We the people of the United States........" not "We the people.......and anybody else."

are these immigrants you claim already citizens? If not then the constitution does not cover them! Quit giving rights to people thats not part of the country!
