Because we got the white trash genes from your countries (Europe) when those immigrants started settling here in the 1600's. It wasn't a pretty sight, with the horrors of slavery, massacres of Indians, etc...The U.S.A. was built from a tremendous amount of bloodshed and LAWLESSNESS. I realize USA history books like to glaze over this fact, but it is indeed true.

It's also true that 99% of serial killers in U.S.A. have been white. White people think they can get away with anything for some reason.

I also believe it's because of our freedoms, lack of morals, and what we ingest. Our food is loaded with toxins and stuff that just doesn't need to be and shouldn't be in food.

Take a look what happens to some people when they drink alcohol. It's like watching the tranformation of Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde

Also in the U.S.A. we are quite lenient on criminals compared to other countries. If someone steals something, we don't cut off a finger. Many times if someone commits murder in the U.S.A., if they are poor, they may get a 15 year sentence. If this person that gets a 15 year sentence behaves well in prison, they'll get 7 years cut off their prison time :\. If they have deep pockets, in the end, they'll end up NOT going to jail and not getting a death sentence. Many USA prisoners are let out of jail simply because our prison system is overcrowed. So what do they do when the get released? They do as they did before, and that is, mame and kill other people.

Letting convicted murders of the hook in the U.S.A. is not the norm, but the fact it happens at all when murder is done in cold blood, is inexcusable.

We have also let our mental health system go to pot. I'm not sure if we have such services anymore, because someone in our "brilliant " government thought it was a good idea to eliminate these services.

U.S.A. is a strange and sick society.

I don't really know where you are getting this statistic...

Serial killers are prevalent throughout the world, they are just more recognized/recorded in industrialized nations. It is true that killers in the U.S. are more mobile, and that team killers are more common.

As for the gun issue, American killers are more likely to use firearms. But it should also be noted that the most common methods of murder are: strangulation/asphyxiation (49.2%), stabbing/cutting (36.9%), beating/bludgeoning (23.6%), then firearms (20.5%).

It may seem that America has more serial killers because the definition may be different in other countries or viewed differently. There are also cultural differences that influence methods and motives for serial murder. Also, profiles constructed here in the U.S. are often contradicted by other countries' law enforcement agencies.

When you have so much freedom, America is the land of opportunity. That said, do you think China lets us know the amount of serial killers loose there? Russia? Any Mid-Eastern country? We do have an astounding rate and I am sure a quick, painful death would help decrease that number. But that brings us back to a justice systems which thinks you are innocent until proved otherwise and due process. Go figure?

we've press right here that blows each and everything out of share! and you realize for useful that no different area the dimensions of the US as an entire, has as many serial killers? it is attainable that they do exactly no longer talk with them as "serial killers" or don't have the ability to look at as totally as we do. might desire to be the shown fact that many international locations do no longer enable the human beings to own weapons. Or that their police do no longer might desire to study miranda rights, or that they might use any volume of rigidity they see extra healthful without reprocussions! If I knew i may well be beat daily in a Turkish reformatory, I in all risk might think of two times approximately committing ANY crime! ***** you are able to not say US has the main with seventy six%...on a similar time as Europe has over that mutually! those international locations you stated are actually not close to the inhabitants or area because of the fact the US! Germany is with regard to the dimensions of Ohio! So then take purely one in all our states for one and all u . s . a . you stated and notice what numbers you return up with!

Probably because of the prestige and respectability that psychiatrists seem to enjoy, and our lax criminal justice system.

We have millions of Americans on prescribed drugs. These people with emotional problems get prescriptions to mask their symptoms. When they fail to take their medication, they go nuts.

We have a criminal justice system that locks up people like drug users. While these people are in fact criminals, why is it that the system fails to prosecute the corporations which advertise illegal drugs to kids, specifically the recording industry? I'll tell you why, MONEY.

The recording industry has been contributing to the delinquency of minors for decades. Our Congress and our Department of Justice doesn't seem concerned about it. At the same time, movies over the last few decades have been glorifying mindless violence. There are enough unstable minds out there to guarantee somebody going berserk periodically. What do our politicians do? Use these incidents to justify their pursuit of disarming the American people.

So there you have it: a corrupt entertainment media, aimed at young people, and a criminal justice system that recycles dangerous criminals.

And don't forget rap. Have you ever listened to the words? And you really don't understand why we have a problem with serial killers, and maniacs?

I'm not so sure about you statistic but understand you concern. Although America is a developed nation, it is young and still hold dear it's frontier roots. People who are against gun control partially quote the consitutional amendment regarding the right to bear arms. Acording to the Constitution "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Today that "well regulated malitia" is the National Guard.

But others argue that everyone should have the right to own a gun. It is easier to own a gun in this country than it is to rent an apartment. To me that seems a bit out of balance.

Hm...I never thought of it. It must be in the blood. The first serial killer I ever heard of is Jack the Ripper in England,so maybe it is in the British gene which came to America in the 17th century. I never heard of a Native American serial killer or even an African one, or a Spaniard one, so as I said, maybe it is just in the English blood. Which is not a good thought.

I'm wondering where you got that statistic, documentation?
I have many ideas why but all I can do is look after myself, I can't solve the many problems of a nation of people who are leading lives filled with terrible habits (overeating, junk food, legal and illegal drugs, alcohol, food additives, hormones in food, pesticides on food, cigarettes, sugar, soft drinks, viewing violent material, etc.). All that and heriditary tendencies can wreck havoc on peoples' mental and/or physical health causing too many to go off the deep end.

There are a lot of factors, but it probably has most to do with the availability of guns in the US, low accessibilty to mental health care despite high rates of mental illness, the stigma of receiving mental health care, the self-centered nature of American culture, and the glorification of serial killers.
