I don't think 36 is "middle aged" not really. More like the 40s to the 50s.

It depends on what you have experienced by 36. My sister was in her early 30s (with kids) and going through a divorce. She ended up doing the whole mid-life crisis thing - getting tatoos, buying a really unsensible car, dating anyone who would pay attention to her and talking about where her life went... When I told people she was having a mid-life crisis and she was only 31, they disagreed, but I don't know what else you call it. If you have experienced what you believe to be half of your life, then you are middle-aged no matter how old you really are. I on the other hand, am in my mid-thirties. Am I midddle aged? No way - not even close! Grandma used to say, your only as old as you feel you are.

Well if the median age of a lifetime is about 72 then I guess mathematically it is. But it doesnt mean too much, i'm 42 and I feel like I did when I was younger then 36 .

It's all in your attitude. I'm 42 and still have not reached middle age. When you get to the higher age numbers, they don't seem to feel as old as you thought they would have. When I was in my 20's I thought 40 was old. Now I think 70 is old. When I'm 50, I'll think 90 is old.

No way ! A woman that age is just a young filly yet, full of what us guys love, like intelligence, experience in life to learn some wisdom, and usually by that age, women are interesting to talk with, and listen to.

I see middle age as being an attitude do you feel you've reached that point in your life? Sure in numbers your approaching your forties so physically you're close. Try to base you age on where you are spiritually.
