I am an African woman and along with my seven siblings all have IQ' in the range of 118 to 131. We have two architects, an economist, a fine artist, an accountant , one who hasn't completed high school yet and me the social worker. How is this possible? Theories totally gone wrong!

If anyone would like to see three of us siblings then go to graduates.com and type in the letters N.n.a.g.g.e.n.d.a (without the dots of course) and three of us will appear. Tell me if you happen to visit the website.

What theory? Why are there no smart Africans and your family is the first one? I am not African but I would be insulted by your question. Brains, etiquette, hard work, success, has no colour or ethnic background or country. There are idiots in every culture and country and race and colour.
Be proud of your self and your family. Not surprised?!?!?!

Well, you are making the false a ssumption that a high IQ automatically has to go on to ensure that person's stellar rise to something fine and brilliant. A significant number of serial killers have also had high I.Q's, so obviously there are many more components involved. I have a high IQ myself and I found in school some difficulty with other kids because they just didn't comprehend where I was coming f rom. Fortunately I am also a pretty happy-go-easy kinda person too, so it didn't bother me one jot. I just went on and did what i wanted to do in life, and enjoyed a happy and contented e xistence. Others internalize a lot of "stuff" and no matter what your IQ level might be, when you do that, it can seriously block your development as a complete personality. It's a roulette game... Things happen, the wheel spins, the ball rolls around and lands in a hole. Round and around the little ball goes, and where it lands, nobody knows... until it does, of course.

Maybe it's possible because your family has a tradition of reading, doing school work, being respectful to elders and teachers, loving learning and achieving something. Your accomplishments have more to do with culture than race. What you all are doing is available to anyone in this country willing to work at it. Run for office- you'll get my vote.

It sounds like you have a very successful family and you should be proud of the field you went into. You followed your passion and that will always bring you rewards.

What theory ? If you have two reasonably intelligent parents chances are you and all your siblings will also be reasonably intelligent.
