Either would be cute, but you should go with the skirt if your trying to impress a guy and the shorts if you and the girls are going out.

I agree with Rac, and I'm a woman. Last summer, I wore a couple of denim skirts that were a little too short, but I didn't have shorts, so I used what I had. I would wear them with either a Tshirt and white sneakers, or my white fitted blouse, white socks and loafers.
I now have a knee length kahaki skirt, that I got free at my church's clothing give away. (I went there to look for baby clothes and the off chance there might be maternity clothes. I found the skirt when I was helping to clean up.) It fits for now (I'm pregnant), so I figure on warm days, for things like lunches and dinners (I go on work-related lunches and dinners with my husband as I'm invited along) or even church, I would wear it with the aforementioned white fitted blouse, socks and loafers.
I have a pair of kahaki shorts that I think are too short, but I didn't think so four or five years ago when I bought them. However, they're 14s and I'm thinking they'll fit for now and will accommodate my growing belly. Sigh. The trouble and torture of cltothes shopping. I didn't like it BEFORE the pregnancy.

The skirt. Some seem not to like skirts with sneakers, but I see it different. The easiest way to impress me, is to show that you are both sporty and proud to be a woman.
I like skirts because I like the way women look when wearing them. It is long time since men needed upskirt views to learn anatomy, but some kids may think it is fun.

First, that rac guy is a total perv. What's his problem? He can't look at a cute girl without controlling himself???
Whichever is shorter.... but you have to be comfortable or it doesn't work. Women in short skirts that spend half their time tugging them down look ridiculous.
Never sneakers with a skirt. And even a little heel is always beter than none.

shorts especially if they are hotpants!!! very ttres chic. anyways i dont suggest wearing skirts with sneakers unless they are that new kind of sneakerflats coz they tend to cut your legs off and make u look shorter and stokier. i'd stick with the shorts if i were u unless u wear the skirt with sandals too.

If it's going with a halter top, then I defently say the shorts and sandals. It would be a nice spring outfit.

I think a short skirt for sure is better. Not shorts.
