My daughter is graduating from 8th grade, and needs a "prom-like" dress to wear for the ceremony. Only problem is, she is very tiny. She wears about size 10/12 girls. Does anyone know of a place that makes dressy dresses in small sizes. She does not want a "little girl" looking dress. She is 14, and ready to look like she is in high school, if you get my drift... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Is there any seamtress in the area. With a seamstress, she would have a one of a kind dress. However, dress stores that specialize in pageant dresses may have an idea for you. Good luck,,,,

I had the same problem. I got mine at Parisian in a size 0 and then had it altered. Or you could also try Macys or Davids Bridal 2 piece dresses

See if you can avoid the plunging neckline and everything that goes with it. 8th grade is not high school - unless you want her to start using contraceptives or are signing her up for breast enlargement at 14, you might try to help her enjoy what remains of her childhood, as a child. In spite of what her peers are doing now, there will be plenty of time for her to experiment with drugs and sex in a few years.
