Well, Jim- I say no. Smoking is NOT cool.
Think about it- the cost of a pack of cigarettes - at least in the U.S. is horrendous. Plus, the cost that smoking does to the body is also horrendous.
Don't even start smoking. Give your body a fighting chance. Smoking causes cancer. Plus, it stinks up you clothes and your breath smells like an old ashtray (definitely NOT cool).
Many people are offended by the smoking odor. So, you will have less friends if you smoke.

If the smoke is coming from the body of a terrorist, yes, smoking is cool.

"Cool" is relative. What's cool to one isn't cool to another so the question being phrased like it is is unanswerable.
