I remember hearing that Cho used his cell phone in class to take pictures of other students.

If Cho was so isolated and lonely and if he really had no one to talk to, then why would he have a cell phone?

This makes me think that there might be some people out there who might have talked to him on the cell. Maybe they knew some of his intentions?

Also, I wonder if he ever talked to anybody online or looked at websites with people 'like him.'This is because he made statements that he did this for his 'children,' his 'brothers and sisters' and other people 'like him.' How did he know other people like him even existed? Maybe he was just referring to the Columbine shooters and other well known people like him. However, Cho mentioned that he was doing this for all the people and the future generations who were ridiculed/mistreated etc.

Do you think it's possible that he may have had some secret friends that he talked to who were like him (either on the cell or online)?

That is a very good question I never thought about him having a cell phone. I am sure the FBI...or whoever are or have looked through his cell phone records.

While I do not agree with what he did I do agree that it will change things other then laws. People are now starting to see how people treat others in school. Parents can finally know how some of their kids might be treated or treating people. But as I said I do not like what he did but I can see why he did it. I have been picked on and I am a loner so I feel for him. Maybe instead of parents only teaching that there is evil in the world they will teach them to respect people.

I'm not sure why ANYONE has a cell phone. I certainly don't. When I'm away from home and the office, I want to be AWAY. (Sorry, just had to take another shot at cell phones in general. I can't remember the last time when I had to overhear a cell phone conversation --in the grocery line, in an elevator, etc.--where I heard anything interesting being said that couldn't have waited. And I can't remember the last time I saw someone talking on a cell phone while driving whose driving performance was enhanced by this dandy little piece of technology.)

Because people have cell phones. You may not use your phone to talk to friends, but there are other uses:

-talk to family/relatives
-give number to potential employers
-order pizza
-go online (with some phones)
-in case of emergency

Why does anyone have a cell phone??!! Just because you have a cell phone does not mean you have anyone to talk to, or that anyone wants to talk to you! Most kids in college or high school have cell phones given to them by their parents in case of an emergency, in case they need to get in touch with their child, etc.

Maybe, and here is a wild thought...he went out and bought himself a cell phone, just because he could.

He was stalking a gal via cell phone, but she didn't press charges & either did the girl he sent IM's to when she complained about them to someone.

Every college student in the world has a cell phone. Perhaps he used it to stalk people? Did you think of that?

Yeah, I wonder about that. And also, since he's dead, the police probably has his cellphone now...unless this guy got rid of it. But if the police has it, I want to know what's on it and everything...same goes for his computer. There could be "clues" in his cellphone and computer.
