It doesn't hurt at all. It takes at the most 3 seconds to do. The needle goes thru like it is butter. I have had mine done for 6 years.

If you have a nice long tongue, it should not hurt at all. Mine did not hurt one bit. Take some Ice chips with you or get some as soon as you leave and start sucking on them to keep the swelling down. I was able to eat and speak the next day with out any problems. When it heals, take a bunch of reg m&ms and throw them in your mouth and that will teach you to eat with out biting your bar bell. Good luck!

Getting my tongue pierced did not hurt. It hurt like heck afterwards. It was horrible. My tongue swelled so bad and I tried like heck to take it out and couldn't because my tongue was so swollen. I ended up only having it in for a few months. It ended up ripping a bit and was really damaging my teeth. My opinion, not worth the trouble.

If not done properly it can be very painful. Get infected and you will have to see a Doctor to save your tongue. Scar tissue can impair your ability to say certain words properly. Nerve damage can do the same. If you were my kid I would tell you your crazy, but heck, what do parents know?

Yes they are sore and you cant eat solid food's. And the downside is they get infected easily because of the saliva and food buildup, maybe you should consider getting something else done like your nose or lip.

Wow I can't believe girls do that anymore, that went out with Hanson like 6 years ago. Why don't you do something "cool" like wear a hott topic t-shirt around or get a AFI tattoo. pppffftttt. Pierce your elbow at least you wont be a sheep.

If you're 16 it won't hurt, but if you're still 15, it's going to hurt like a mother. Trust me on this...I'm 32 and I should know.

the tongue is a muscle, so yes it will hurt a lot and it will be numb and you can forget about talking clearly for a while
