It may have gone something like this: When the package arrived in the board room, they immediately formed a conga line and started dancing around the table shouting 'ratings ratings ratings'. And shortly there after starting dreaming of what they'd do with their bonus checks.

Dollar signs were in there eyes for sure. That is the good old USA for ya! Make mega bucks out a tragedy. Do you think that they will donate any of that money to the families of the victims, to pay for funeral arrangements of some medical bills? I wont hold my breath for that gesture!

You bet they were. But out of respect for family members it should have never been aired on tv. I know I did'nt want to see this man rant about this. Like he was some kind of hero. I hope they never show his face again on tv. Let the healing begin for the families. Don't let it be like 911 everytime you turn on the tv we are reminded of the this evil.

I imagine they might have been scared to open it at first, but really anxious to see what it was. (It could have been a bomb.)
They were happy to have the exclusive, even though at least some of them must have felt the solemnity of it.
But ratings are the deciding factor I think, as to what to do with it.

I'm sure they were extremely happy. They got an exclusive. I bet their rating were higher than they had been in a very long time!

i think they felt they hit a bonanza, an exclusive story. but i'm sure any media outlet would have acted the same.

and anyone of them would have broadcasted the contents because they know that no matter how many people are disgusted, there are that many people who are interested.

Of course. I wonder how many more millions networks are making off of the coverage. I am sure they increased advertising rates.
