When you compare NAFTA GATT & the TeleCom give away. Clinton was a pro business globalist. His fisical responsiability was traditional Republican.

Bush is an isolationist that doesn't think twice about expanding Government and unbridled spending Hallmarks of Democratic policy.

You're right, Clinton was very much an ideological globalist.

Bush is an economic isolationist but deviates radically from traditional Repubs in being a military interventionist.

Bush's fiscal policy is essentially the nightmare picture that the right painted before Clinton took office.

There is truth in what you say. Bill Clinton had no core values (not my opinion but stated by James Carvel). He just knew how to stay popular by following whatever the latest poll or focus group said.

G.W. Bush is more of a moderate than a conservative. He has strong core beliefs but some of them are wrong such as his views on amnesty for illegal aliens. He was quick to action which is a plus but sticks to a policy beyond the point of usefulness. He is loyal to his people but perhaps to a fault.

He mistakenly thought that by allowing the democrats in congress to get most of what they wanted spending wise they would reciprocate when it came to supporting him in his nominees and in the war. He was sadly mistaken. This policy worked very well in Texas where his governorship was very successful in wooing democrats. But the Washington democrats have far different constituencies. Many are virulent radical liberals that will never accept compromise. Representatives from such areas have their hands tied.

Picture it as a perpetual socialist revolution with half a cup of fascism topped of with a thick communist icing. Otherwise known as a "democracy cake". You ask me, we need better cake makers. Also it might not hurt to elect a guard that will dump out the tainted kool aid as well and actually make a "real" batch that we might all be able to enjoy for a change. Of course it takes just a ltl while to work all those toxins out of your system, but not long. So it is highly advisable to everyone not to eat the cake, and definitely don't drink the kool aid until we can get people competent enough to make both of them right. Also in my personal opinion, I'd rather have pie anyways.

Even though he is primarily a Democrat, he can have opinions outside of the Democratic party. That's what I like about Clinton, he isn't simply a Democratic drone like most other candidates.

Yes, it's been opposite day for the last 15 years or so.
Maybe if we elected the biggest warmonger in the country, we'll get peace in the world.

If President Bush is a Democrat then why do Democrats continue to bash him?

This is another great question... It is called labelling. Jus like what you see in Walmart everyday of the week. The ingredients declared outside are nothing like what you would expect inside.

Clintons instincts were to veto NAFTA and GATT, but they both were so overwhelmingly popular among the Republican majority that he signed them anyway. don't fool yourself into thinking Clinton was anything but a big government lib who would have taken us in the direction of Cuba if he could have

I agree with your statements. It's strange how many politicians govern very differently from their political beliefs.
