ANYONE HEARD OF THIS?

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

If you don't 100% agree. Move to Canada. Really...

You quote the second Amendment to the US Constitution. Tell us when was the last time this well regulated milita was called out. We have a standing army supplied with weapons supplied by the government. We have state National Guard units (maybe these could be called a type of militia) that are supplied by their states with weapons.

That being said I do not oppose the second amendment right to bear arms but for different reasons. Those being one's pursute of happiness as a hunter or target shooter and for protection of one's family and private property. Since owing a firearm is not manditory why not just let those of us who don't have them or like them stay here as long as we allow those who do want them have them?

ummmm yes the second amendment, I'm an NRA member and have exercised my second amendment rights quite a few times.

School shootings have been happening for a very, very long time it's just the press gets on them when they are this big. I grew up in Brooklyn NY school shooting happened but the press didn't care because its old hat in the inner cities and only 1,2 or maybe 3 are killed at a time.......not press worthy unless the body count is over 10.

""Can you tell me where this 'well regulated militia' is in the USA? ""

All citizens that arent disqualified for crimes or mental issues and are of age are militia. Everyone is in the militia.

I agree with this and I'm not moving to Canada.

these arms that the people can have - are they semi-automatic, automatic? the assualt weapons ban that expired allowed for the clip that was used in the VT shootings.
maybe we should clearly define what "arms" are allowed by a well regulated militia. can we have glocks, uzis, ak-47?

THE SECOND AMENDMENT!!

what do I win?

Speaking of Canada, they have the same guns per capita that we do but nowhere near the gun related violence.

The problem isn't guns, it's us.
