So he still isn't anywhere near the best. In 10 years people will remember a washed up QB that stuck around for the records, although that is if he is retired. He is NO WHERE NEAR the LEGEND level of Montana and Marino. Oh and playing in the era of Elway and Montana early and Brady and Manning at the end is going to KILL him as being "the best ever".

Don't forget, possibly, most interceptions along with that list!
He's definitely a Hall of Famer, great QB, and fun to watch most of the time, but never will be "best qb ever"!
Only 1 superbowl ring, lost in a superbowl and threw too many interceptions through out his career...
He's not getting younger or better any time soon... sorry man, that's the facts.
Oh, btw, if he never had "talent around him", how in the hell did he get to back to back superbowls!!!!!!? All by himself!!!!? Yeah right!!!!
I don't expect fans to be entirely honest when comparing player(s) to others, but they're not fooling anyone....

No, Dan Marino was the best of all time, the John Elway. Payton Manning will be up here battling these two before its said and done. Maybe Favre makes it somewhere around 10-20 all time.

Not the best ever probably in the top 10
Too many interceptions, only 1 ring
Hard to put him in the same group as Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, and John Elway.
Probably in the same group as Steve Young and Troy Aikman

doesn't mean he's the best qb ever - just the most persistent.
if a baseball player stays healthy enough and hits 10 home runs a year, he'll have 500 homeruns after 50 seasons. but the team is going to suck all the time and the fans are going to be like 'ARGH - QUIT!!'
marino, montana and elway all had records. but at some point you just know when to throw in the towel. as good a qb as favre is - he just doesn't know when to say 'enough'.

He sure beats out Dan Marino as best QB ever...at least he's got the ring. But there are so many other QBs that have been considered the best ever. I think Brett would be honored just to be named along with all of them!

Best QB ever is always arguable because of the different stats and also the era. He should definitely be in the top 5 along with John Unitas, Dan Marino, Sammy Baugh, and John Lujack

ndmagic is a complete idiot. not top 5? wow. retard. anyways, there are many ways to classify who the best qb is because they all played in different eras. super bowls dont prove it because it's a team game. stats dont always prove it as you may have amazing talent around you. yes, i know favre has gone practically his entire career without good talent around him, and now it is God awful.
it's really a tossup for the best qb ever between favre, marino, and unitas.
favre and marino went many years without having good talent around them.
