they say a year. i was in your situation at one point i did finally go in and had blood work done, they found that my eggs were not dropping regularly. well i decided that we already had one kid it took a year to conceive her that I figured i can do it again on our own. i followed the doctors directions the day you start your period count that as day one and on day ten have sex then have sex every other day for a few days. that didn't work. then i went and seen another doctor and she said because of my egg situation instead of doing it on tenth day try thirteenth day that didn't work. I marked on my calender with my first and figured out I'm fertile on the seventh and eighth day so i tried it and it worked i am two months pregnant. i would not stress about it because if you do it won't happen i would just try to figure out your body like i had to do. remember it is fun trying to conceive a baby.
i wish you good luck and hope the best for you
and remember to never give up.

You should go see a fertility specialist now. A year is a while for you to have been doing what you know to do and not getting the results you wanted. You may not need fertility drugs to conceive....you may just need to change some of the things you do and dont do to enhance your chances of getting pregnant.....The fertility Dr. is the one who can evaluate all you do and give you the best advice for you!
(an expert on the subject never hurts).

An RE (Reproductive Endocrenologist, a.k.a. "fertility specialist") won't have you jump straight into IVF. IVF is used as a very last resort for conceiving. It's emotionally, financially, physically, and spiritually draining. Instead, your RE will do all of the proper testing on you and your husband, and will attempt other avenues, such as clomid, or an IUI, etc. Considering you're still so young, my money is on your RE attempting a handful of IUI cycles first. Best of luck to you! If you have further questions, feel free to contact me via email.

At this point it would be advisable to see an OB/Gyn and let them do some basic tests--progesterone check, thyroid levels, etc. Also, start, if you don't already, charting your basal body temps to ensure you are ovulating and your luteal phase is long enough--the second half of your cycle. After the basic stuff the OB/Gyn will be able to refer you, if needed, to an RE.

STOP SMOKING!!!! If you want to get pregnant why would you still be doing that? A lot of times women's bodies react to their enviorment. Like women who are over weight and can't pregnant... they start working out and all of a sudden BAM!!! PREGGO!!! Maybe your bosy is saying...um no not right now we can't handle the stress of a pregnancy.
I would quit smoking and visit your obgyn and see what you can do to help you and your hubby conceive.

i would say a year is a long time, not super long but I would make a doc. appt. Just know that you doc is gonna tell you to quit smoking. I had to laugh that doing drugs is so common that you had to put that in there, I'm glad you don't do drugs and good luck :)

Your still young and it could take a few years to concieve. Its a matter of keep trying and waiting. You could go see your doctor for advice on changing your diet/excersie to help increase your chances of becoming pregnant!
Good Luck xx

How are you trying? Just sex? How do you know when you are ovulating?
Use fertilityfriend.com and chart BBT, CM, and so on. Don't forget about ovulation tests or a fertility monitor.
After a year of ACTIVELY trying then I would seek help.
Good luck!
