My assignment here is almost over (2 weeks). I'm depressed because I haven't found another one yet. I'm getting anxious. Should I switch agencies? My problem is that I only work day shift and most places only want nights. I don't want to go back home (Oklahoma) I'm having sooo much fun here in the DFW area. What should I do???

Get looking for a new job pronto! Do it now, and if you are lucky, maybe you will find something soon. Nurses are, generally speaking, in short supply. Someone out there must need you. Perhaps you can stick to the agency just in case, but also go solo and try to find a job yourself! Just visit all the doctors and hospitals you can and put in a resume. You never know! If nothing else, if location means the most to you, then consider trying night shift, if only long enough to establish yourself so that you can find a day shift job later. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices to get what you want.

That said, if you are feeling depressed, you should already know what you need to do. Get some exercise. Have some fun. Eat right. And if that doesn't help, then talk to your doctor about getting some medication or therapy. Good luck!
