I'm going to Cabo May 1st for 5 days with two girlfriends. We're staying at the Melia Cabo Real. I am wondering once we get into the airport in Cabo, what is the shuttl service to use? I read somewhere something about going out of the airport and walking past all of the other shuttle services to find the cheapest. Something like that. I don't think my hotel is far and obviously, want to spend as little as possible on the ride there. Any help on this as well as other tips to save would be great!

Hola!

We call it the "gauntlet" and it can be intimidating, but there are a bunch of booths set up after the luggage check and tons of people yelling at you to come to their booth. (many of them are timeshare salespersons who are fronting as shuttle/taxi operators. They will ask you a whole bunch of questions to determine if you are a potential customer.) Just be firm, ask for a shuttle to cabo and expect to pay about $20. Taxis ask for almost $60.

You can also call the Melia and ask what their airport transfer arrangements are. They may have a specific shuttle that is free! I would make sure first.
