They were in a net breeding trap, and a gourami managed to get in but I saw him! anyway in my struggle to get the gourami out 5 of my 2 week old babies got into the main tank with all my big cichlids, they are so quick!! and keep hiding amongst the rocks! Will they be ok if I left them? Or should I remove all tank decor to catch them??

The first thing you should do is set up a camera on a tripod. That way the next morning you can watch the vid of your blue dolphins being chased and eaten by the cichlids.

I don't know the relative size of your fish but my guess is the odds are against your babies. I would strongly suggest doing whatever you need to do to catch them. One method that has some success is to get up early in the morning or stay up late at night so that the lights are off and all the fish are sleeping. Get ready, then quickly flick on the lights and nab your fish while they are dazed from the sudden lights and can't quite see right.

I suppose if you had night vision goggles you could try to "go fishing" at night and see if you can keep from waking them up.

If they get to where the other fish are, they will be eaten. They will not be safe until they are bigger than the mouths of the adult fish. Sometimes they are saavy enough to stay hidden until they're big enough, but other times they're stupid or the other fish are quicker. Sounds like a pain for so few babies.

Take the more aggessive fish out and put them in the net. Then catch the babies you can.
