okay my 89 ford started miss at idle so ipopped the hood and started pulling wires and i found after pulling the first two closes too the grille of the truck there is no affect so its not fireing on them i change the plugs it doesnt get any better the plugs wires appear to be new too any ideas

Check the wires with an inductive timing light. Check for rhythmic flash. If any wires have a miss or multiple flashes, then it's either the cap, wire, or plug. Sometimes when spark plug leads are installed without dielectric grease they are difficult to remove & are damaged upon removal. I would trouble shoot first by inspecting the cap & rotor, then changing the wire, then changing the plug.
If the electrical system checks OK then investigate the injectors.

clean the distributer cap and rotor. for $20 you may just want to get a new cap and rotor. next you may want to pull the plugs and do a spark gap test on each cylinder to verify that your getting a descent spark.

It could be out of timing or you may need a new distributor cap and rotor
