It is, but it is also possible to have a baby bump already. If you have a slender and narrow build, you are probably carrying the baby all out front. If you think you are further along, bring it up to the doc at your next visit, they can check for you.

When I was pregnant I got a belly early on as well. I found out that small slender women sometimes get a belly early because of a fatty wall that is crated to protect the baby. After I had my baby I went almost back to my original weight very quickly. I only kept 10lbs after baby, but mind you I started out underweight and the little extra hardly shows.
Now, don't worry about the belly. You have so much to be exited about.
Congratulations!

you have alot of bloating when you are in your first trimester you think its a baby bump but then it goes down. I am 20 weeks with my first and I was bloated and I thought it was a baby bump but it wasn't it went down. I have a true baby bump now. It's not big though, I am slender as well I thought I was going to be bigger than what I am but I'm not but I still have 20 more weeks. You could be carrying more than one or be further than what you thought. Good luck and congrats!!

You should make a doctors appt. to have an ultrasound done and that will tell how far along you are. By the measurements of the baby if you are further along than you think that will tell you for sure. Every woman carries differently.
Good luck congratulations

Ive had the same problem through my whole pregnancy of looking a lot further gone but its just that i carry a lot of fluid this could be the same with you.
you should have a dating scan soon if you haven't already to measure the baby and give an accurate due date this will tell you exactly how fer you are.
congrats

Yes. I am 12 weeks and already showing. I read on here earlier, that it is normal to start showing at 6 months with your first. I was thinking that I must just be crazy or fat. In the first trimester, you tend to have a lot of bloating and constipation. So that could be what you are seeing. Or you could just be getting pudgy. Just kidding. Talk to your doctor and see what they have to say. Good luck and I feel your pain!

Its all part of pregnancy...bloating. Have you been to the doctor yet? If this is your first pregnancy, you probably won't show for a while yet (yes, even if you're slender). Could you be further along? Yes, but most likely its just the regular bloating. Best of luck.

Not likely. The baby bump is probably just bloating. It's very common to have it come and go. In a few weeks, you'll notice it going down, then coming back. It's totally normal.

OR- you could be having more than one! Your doctor will measure the size of your uterus, and if there is a dicrepancy, will probably order an ultrasound. Everybody is a little different. Some people stuck out more at an earlier stage than others.
Try not to worry until your doctor tells you to.
[ If you have 'weak' abdominals, you could do situps. ]

Sure. Anything is possible. Make sure you chose a doctor and get in soon. With my first child my system cycled until I was 4 months along, so I had no clue I was pregnant until then.
