Without any doubt it was Maharoofs day. This is evident from the fact that he took 3 wickets in his first over after being slammed for 2 consecutive boundaries by Jeremy Bray. The comeback was truly stunning and he must have owed something to Sangakara for his third scalp

Impressive.
It was a great bowling perfomance from a bowler who has a lot of potential. I hope he's given a lot more exposure in the future, don't know how likely that is though since Malinga is back in the team pretty soon but personally I prefer Maharoof over Fernando if there is need for another pacer in the side.

this match is one of the milestone in his career, 4/25 from ten overs with an economy rate of 2.50 is a great achievement. the run out by him to dismiss Johnston is one of the best run out of the cricket world cup. he should be in the team for all the matches.
