No, but how else can I deflect charges of racism?
It's not like I say, "I have a friend who happens to be black", as if it was a big surprise, but I have friends of all hues and backgrounds

Well I would be lying if I said that I was a racist because I as an individual hate it.
I really dislike it when someone comes to me and says: (for eg: I have 3 black friends, 2 mexicans, 4 indians....etc) I mean why should you classify them on the base of their color? Do you want to make me feel that you are really humble or something since you choose to be friendly with people of other colors?
Actually, if a person first begins describing her/his friend by stating their color rather than their good qualities she/he shouldn't be considered a very good friend should she/he?
Well anyways, in response to your question: no I'm not a racist, I hate it and I would like people to stop doing it....

Someone once asked me if I was racist during a conversation, and I said "ofcourse not, my husband is white"...now just because i said he is white does not make me a racist. I think it all depends on the conversation, sometimes, we do say "im not racist I have white friends"...etc. Some folks do that because it is how they try to prove they are not racist. I dont think they mean any harm at all. There are some that keep a quota and are racist, but dont fault everyone for a few!!!!!

Its hard to admit. I would say no I am not racist, I definitely don't try to be. But I feel that there is a lot of inherent racism left in people from the past several hundred years. So on account of that I do have some racist tendencies I guess. I really don't feel that any race is superior to another, nor do I feel that any race has any more or less capacity for intelligence. I guess the racism I am talking about takes the form of stereotyping, its subconscious. Anyways, I don't hate anyone, seriously. But it is hard to rid yourself of things like this. A lot of people do it, people of all races. I really don't like the term "race". I wish people would do away with that concept altogether. Please don't think I am a bigot, I am just trying to be honest...

No I am not racist, I notice if my friends or family has a different colored skin tone then me, just like I notice what color their hair is or sometimes their eyes.
I also notice what they wear, if they are male or female ect.
Personally I like darker skin better, not because it makes a human different but because it is more attractive to me! I would love to have my daughters skin tone!
I think being racist is not just noticing others skin tone, but judging them based on soley that.

No. If you put all the friend I have in a melting pot- they would all come out a lovely rainbow colour.
Also being a racist, like hating is destructive to the mind body and soul.

Why do you think Al Sharpton and Jesse jackson are so successful making money off of calling people racist?. It is too hard to respond to.
