Hi there,

First I am assuming you mean Acrobat 8.0. If so, you can edit the document, but it might take some work.

First, you need to covert the scanned image to text. From there, you can copy the text and paste it into Word. Acrobat really is not designed to do that kind of thing.

Second, if you mean Adobe Reader 8.0, then you can't edit it at all. It is intended only for reading documents.

Adobe is a huge company that has a dozen different products.

Your likely program is Adobe Acrobat 8, which is for making portable documents.

If you want to add/delete/change stuff Word or Excel, those are Microsoft programs. What does that have to do with Adobe Acrobat at all?

Did you actually scan the document into Acrobat 8?

Please be specific. We are not mindreaders here.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is basically that, a READER. you could no longer edit. in case you desire to create or edit PDF records you like the "finished" version of Adobe Acrobat, no longer purely the reader version. -or you like yet another software with PDF examine & write capacity, there are some, yet no longer a lot of those because of the fact the applying builders could would desire to pay a royalty to Adobe to industry those, and maximum prefer to no longer gain this.
