It is possible. Most people forget that when Cowher played football, he was a linebacker for the browns for 3 seasons (three seasons (1980-82)). It is also known that he did not leave on good terms with the Rooneys in Pittsburgh, so a move to a rival would not be totally out of the question.
That being said, if Cleveland is willing to get rid of Crenel after only a few years, they definatelly won't have the patience with Cowher that the Rooney's did (letting him coach for 13-14 years before winning 1 superbowl).

Where are these "reports" and what are those people smoking? First for that to happen CBS would have to let him out of his contract, not likely when the year hasn't even started. Second where has Savage been questioned as GM? They are letting him rebuild and I'd say he has at least this year to get it on track. Then what makes you think Cowher even WANTS to be GM? He had a Director of Football Operations with him in Pittsburgh, why would you think he wants to hold both positions? Let alone being sure the Browns would GIVE both positions to one person. Last why would the Browns hire him? Sorry but to hire him the year he leaves Pittsburgh would be really stupid. Hiring him without him taking another job would be kinda stupid but could be done. Not this year though.

Yeah it could be a possibility in the future, this year though no. There are too many things that would have to happen. Like said above he would have to let out of his contract, and Crennel and Savage would have to be fired.
That being said if the Browns again do poorly this year under Romeo I can see him being gone. Savage I can see being kept on with Cowher coming in as Head Coach with normal Coach input on GM activities. As proved over recent years very few have been able to do both Head Coach and GM with great results.

I can see Cowher coaching again but in Cleveland? I seriously doubt that one.

Man I hope that doesn't happen. I want him to come back where he got his start as Defensive Coordinator - Kansas City. I can't stand Herm, and without a playoff win he'll be gone soon enough.
