To the person that said we insult others by calling them gay..lol, it's not an insult, it's psychology.
It's been proven that that which we hate the most are usually the traits found in ourselves. We as people, just like to live in denial. That's why we generally can't be friends with someone who is TOO much like us, because they bring to our eyes the things we hate within ourselves.
So, when we say they are probably closet gays it makes sense. Why else would you spend so much time and energy bashing a group of people that you hate? It's either because you're secretly afraid of the stigma of being around a gay person, or you have one in your own family, or you are one yourself. They put out the hate because they can't accept the fact of their true feelings of what they might feel if they allowed gay people to get close to them and form relationships, or even friendships with them. They are so afraid their feelings might come out, that in order to keep those feelings from being expressed, they think the only solution is to keep gay people away from them, and how do they do that? They take on the attitude of a homophobe. It actually makes a lot of sense if you look at it from a psychological perspective. Our minds work in funny ways. Think about it. Look at how well reverse psychology works on little kids.

I think this argument is used too much. Most bashers are probably not closet gays. It's more of a gender distinction thing. Men are taught from a very early age to differentiate themselves from women, probably because pre-pubescent males look and sound feminine enough to potentially trigger arousal reactions in men if they tried. Of course men don't want this, because men mating with other men is "biologically pointless", so we struggle to clearly seperate the genders for the sake of perpetuating the species, it helps make mate selection more streamlined. Men have a very heavy taboo against being "unmanly" in any way, and we display this almost pack mentality where if a man breaks the code by being unmasculine, we will collectively punish him until he conforms again. Of course homosexuality is seen as unmasculine since one has sex with men, which is normally only attributed to women. Women, having always been viewed as an inferior gender, allow much more liberal gender expression because they are taught growing up that "it's okay to be assertive if you want honey, women don't always have to stay in the kitchen and bow their heads, don't let anyone tell you otherwise!" Hence women almost embrace rebelling against gender standards where as men feel compelled to try to correct such behavior in their peers.

As a West Texan after I say reckon which potential i will plan on it. it isn't a company dedication. So if I say I reckon i will cut back the grass day after today, which potential it truly is planned. Now the right answer for the spouse is, "you reckon"......ha ha. "Reckon" also would nicely be used as one of those caution. Like even as my spouse alternatives up the television distant and that i say "I reckon you oughta placed that down". even if you make the most of it, it truly is a chilled word, do not you reckon.

I used to bash gays in highschool, and maybe junior high, and i've thought I was gay since 6th grade.... I just came out on christmas, and I obviously NO longer bash gays, cause I am one.... I am proof to this theory, but I don't think that MOST are, but a good some... usually the ones that make the stupidest arguments.

That is a good theory. But have you thought that maybe they stay in the chat rooms, the on line groups, and the answer room is because a form of gay bashing is not physical, it also mental. And by combing those places and spewing their anti-gay garbage, it is a way for them to gay bash and get away with it.

Pretty smart for a black and white guy!!!
1 Tim 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

Interestingly put.. It is obvious there is a interest, rather in a negative light then a positive one, but the idea that they are 'closet gays' is interesting. I wonder if those that have come out if maybe their behavior at one point was to act aggressive to gays who are out?

Don't preach to those who have there own path much like you wouldn't like a gay male knocking on your door in spandex with a strap on dildo yelling at you to join him? They do not push it upon you yet you come into there section and push on them? hypocrite! (sorry to categorise but that guy made me angry!) I dislike religion pushers fair enough if thats there path but why tell me about it hmmmph

I suspect that a lot of them are frustrated homosexuals. I would think they are born as homosexuals but have been taught by their parents or some misguided priest that homosexuality is a sin so they feel guilty about their thoughts and try and take that guilt out by knocking other homosexuals

That theory has been brought up before. Maybe they are envious of the fact that those of us that are out, are living wonderful lives and they are miserable because they are stuck away in a closet. They envy our freedom to be who and what we are.
