Nope, it might not happen for you. Melanin, what pigments our skin is what cause the "mask' or linea negra in pregnancy. So you don't have to worry.

I didn't have one, and neither did most of my friends..In fact I've personally only seen it twice. I think it has to do with your coloring. I think if you're a little darker skinned, you'll see it more pronounced.
Not everyone gets it. And it goes away within a couple months after giving birth. It's just dark skin pigmentation in that area.

I don't think everyone gets one. I didn't think I was going to, but here I am 39.5 weeks, and noticed it about a week ago! I was surprised! I guess it can come at any time really...

Not all pregnant women get it. I never had it. Some women have them and they go away after they give birth, and some ladies never lose that line.

Not everyone gets that line, all really depends on your skin type and color. It's nothing to worry about.

Not everyone gets it. I never did. I am blond and fair skinned. I think that is why. I think dark skinned people have it more often. It isn't anything that you have to get.

I had a very dark one with my first baby, didn't get one at all with my second. It has to do with hormones, everyone is different. Don't worry about it. Consider yourself lucky, they take forever to fade away!!!
