Women tend to be very sensitive on weight issues. I was once 300 lbs (and I am only 5 feet tall). You could imagine how bad that was!!! I am now about 150. NEVER directly say "you are getting fat". If you are going to eat, choose something healthy and offer the same thing to the woman and set a good example. Maybe you could help without ever having to say a word!

It MAY be okay if there is no romantic link between the two of you; and even then you may deserve a slap. No matter how confident a woman is, or how close your relationship, no woman wants to be told that "they're starting to look fat."

Besides, we're all so preoccupied with our size that we already know. Chances are that we don't need someone else to tell us.

I think I would be offended if some one told me flat out i was getting fat. Your best bet is to suggest working out together. If you have already done this, your best bet is to apologize like crazy maybe buy her some flowers or something, yes, even if it is your sister, and tell her you was only looking out for her best interest health wise.

Now,....thsi is crazy. What ever happened to honesty?

A Pastor pissed me off recently by saying that for peace's sake....tell her what she wants to hear ..But that's a lie!!
If she is getting fat, - she is GETTING FAT and shoul be told so!!

You dont tell her and someone tells her outside someday, she may just hate! Besies, doesnt every woman have a weight scale in her bathroom! Scales dont lie!

you should always be honest with a woman but when it comes to weight us women get very offended so somtimes you just need to stay quiet and let it be if you feel it's dangerous for their health then simply say to them that they have gained some weight lately and that you are worried about their health

If its your girlfriend DO NOT say it to her face or if its a friend. do it in a concealable way.. Like for a birthday present buy a gym membership for both of you and say we can work out together! Whatever you do DO NOT CALL HER FAT!

No, it offends women to be so direct. You can say it tactfully like you should eat these fruits instead of cake, etc. That will get the message across to them.
