Let's see...you want to be paid a lot of money by a big company, but you don't want to answer to anyone. You want to be in an in-demand field, but you wish to avoid anything to do with math. You want to do something important but you can't spell important. You appear to think law and history are interconnected in some way.

What should you do with your life? Based on the information above I would recommend one of two things:

1.) Find a rich older man and marry him. That way you don't have to be responsible for yourself. Someone else can do all the work for you.

2.) If you're not really hot with a great body then I think it's a good idea to start purchasing lottery tickets.

I don't mean to come across as harsh, but at your age you are too clueless to plan the rest of your life. Go to college and feel it out for a while. That's what I did. If I could offer and recommendation at all it would be to go into a professional school like nursing, business, journalism, etc. (as opposed to just liberal arts as I did). It's easier to get a specific job that way.

You could always become an interpretor, or study internatilonal law. The best thing to do at this point, is to take your core classes and go to lots of seminars on careers. You don't necessarily need to know what you want to do when you enter college. There are enough common classes that you need to get out of the way in the first couple of years. Talk to a career counselor, take the test that they give you that shows what you have particular aptitude for. Talk to your professors and others you have respect for. Whatever path you choose, make sure you get a teaching certificate. No matter what happens to you in life, you can always fall back on a teaching career until you get back on your feet and are ready to try again. Teaching is more lucrative than it used to be, and it can be a very rewarding and challenging occupation. Many succsesful executives go into teaching after they retire. It's worth thinking about. Good luck with whatever you decide and make sure that it is something you genuinely want to do so you can get up and actually look forward to going to work (most days anyway!)
