I'm confused- I looked at 1960s issues of mags such as Mademoiselle, Redbook, and Ladies Home Journal and they mainly talkabout feminsim and rarely about sexuality (I'm not sure if these w2 go hand in hand, though). Yet, I saw Cosmo, and it was like a pure blend of sex and feminsim. Also, I noticed that it was not after Cosmo's revamping in 1965 that other magazines "upped" articles on feminism and sexuality. So, I need answers from women who lived in the 1960s- was it indeed women's magazines that were behind the Sex revolution, or were they against it or hated it? Or was it just Cosmo that was in on it alone?

Nah, I believe that social movements help to drive magizines and newspapers, mostly because there about making money and the only way they do that is by staying with whats popular.
Of course there is a select few out there that actual cared about there readers, wouldn't bet my money that Cosmo's was one of them....
