I think these kind of people are screwed up from the beginning. I have watched several violent movies and i have played several violent games as a kid. I have been picked on in school as well as everyone i've ever met. Everyone has something they can be picked on for(teeth, braces, freckles, too tall/short, skinny, fat....) I am not a psycho killer and neither are thefriends that I have had, hell I even took antidepressants for a few months when I was 16, only to find out I just had anxiety. It seems that everyone has an excuse for this crap. These people are just plain crazy. that's the only excuse.

What about the infamous Tea Party Massacre? What movie were they watching? Oh they didn't have movies to blame then. What about all these other massacres and violent acts that have taken place hundreds, even thousands, of years BEFORE the invention of movies, television and music? There is no one to blame but the man who did the shooting.
The real solution is understanding and prevention; not finger pointing and blind blaming. If Jesus tells someone to kill, should society then blame Jesus? NO! That's ridiculous. The blame is in the one causing the action. Period.

Mainly considering that there is not any proof. There's no proof that the Columbine killers had been encouraged via "Natural Born Killers" or that they'd ever watched the film. This is the equal "good judgment" the media used to check out accountable the taking pictures on "The Basketball Diaries" (considering that it featured a dream series approximately a taking pictures in a institution), or video video games ("taught them how you can kill" they claimed) or even trench coats. There's no proof that the theater shooter was once REALLY making an attempt to mimic The Joker. I'm dressed in a blouse that claims "Hawaii" on it - that does not imply I suppose I am Hawaiian. And in any case, is not the Joker's hair intended to be GREEN, now not orange? More men and women say he was once dressed like Bane or one in all his henchmen, now not The Joker. Personally I suppose the fellow's remark was once supposed to aid identify that he was once mentally insane on the time of the taking pictures so he might preclude the loss of life penalty in trade for a particularly comfortable sentence of spending the relaxation of his lifestyles in a intellectual university. As a species we've got been uncovered to more and more violent media for hundreds of years, but the quantity of occasions of some thing "inspiring" anyone to end up violent in truly lifestyles are statistically nonexistent. Basically if a TV exhibit, film, e-book, and so forth. can persuade anyone to head do some thing heinously violent in truly lifestyles, he could have needed to were so mentally risky within the first situation that it was once going to occur in any case. Still suppose I'm filled with ****? Then why do not different nations have those ultraviolent assaults? Canada will get the entire equal films and stuff as we do, but you by no means listen approximately mass violent assaults there. Or how approximately Sweden, in which each and every loved ones has a gun as a result of required army carrier? Surely violent media + extra weapons according to capita than the US must outcomes in a few impressive taking pictures sprees? Or what approximately Japan, whose comedian enterprise is more commonly condemned via its possess father or mother institutions for its depictions of totally picture violence even in comics supposed for fundamental institution children who're nonetheless finding out to learn? Yet, Canada, Sweden and Japan have highly low incidents of violent crime, permit on my own sprees that go away dozens useless and dozens extra injured - and now not for a loss of possibility both. Statistics presently exhibit that one million in 10 men and women has a few style of intellectual sickness. That's over 30 million Americans. Even if simplest zero.one million% of them are highly violent and risky, that is nonetheless over 30,000 men and women. So, certainly, we must be experiencing Columbine-esque shootings on a every day foundation, correct?

These people are complete idiots. As popular as Stanley Kubrick is, you don't see a lot of kids running around and trying to be Alex from "A Clockwork Orange".

Yes,I do think that violent movies have gone too far.I can't watch these kind of movies,I hate all of the killing in them. I also can't abide by the movie stars who want more gun control laws and then turn around and make big bucks off of these kind of movies.

Violent movies doesnt have anything to do with it. People who are unattached from reality are going crazy. these people want to see what they see on tv happen in real life. anyone who has the thoughts of killing someone is crazy anyhow.

Let's just keep trying to blame this on something else...the kid was just crazy. It's not your fault, it's not the movies fault, it's not the gun, or gun manufacturers fault, and it's not the video games.

I'm not sure but it doesn't help. I think you have to have an inclination to do something like that and a movie doesn't cause it by itself.
