Don't worry, it's normal. As the baby gets bigger, the heart rate slows down (but is still quite fast by adult standards). I was told 120 to 170 was normal. I went for an ultrasound yesterday and, at 30 weeks, my baby's heart rate is now 132. It was quite a bit faster earlier on and the doc said all is still good and normal. Congrats and good luck.

Its normal... Sometimes u'll find that the heartrate is down to 130...Im sure it's not a stable heartrate- They only do momentary monitoring of the heartrate w/ a doppler and ultrasound anywayz. Point being: the heartrate is continuously dropping and rising. As long as ur doctor is ok w/ the way everything is going then there's nothing to worry about.

Yes, the heart rate will continue to decrease as the baby gets bigger. For me it has been At nine weeks 180, twleve weeks high 160's 16 weeks, low 160 and yesterday at 20 weeks low 150's. No biggie if you consider that the heart reat for an adult is some where around 60-100. If there is ever cause for concern regarding the heart rate, the doctor will let you know.

Yes, it is normal. Your heartrate isn't always the same either. A normal heartrate for a baby in utero is 120-160. Less or more than this could mean a problem.

Yes, the fetal heartrate starts out high, and slows down a bit as the fetus gets older.
"The median fetal heart rate increased from 138 beats/min at 6 weeks to 177 beats/min at 9 weeks, thereafter, fetal heart rate gradually decreased to 150 beats/min at 16 weeks. "
Here is a link to this article. It actually talks about fetal heart rate in detecting chromosomal disorders, but this information above was for "normal, average" fetuses.

Yeah, it just depends on if the baby is active or sleeping. They are always going to vary to some degree. My sons would go from 164 down to 140. As a parent its hard not worry but try and think positive. Best wishes and Congratulations!

yes, perfectly normal!
my son has always been a steady 140-155.
the bigger they get .. the slower the heartrate goes.
anything between 120-180 is normal.
good luck! God bless!

i have heard that as long as the baby's heartrate doesn't drop below 120, then he/she should be perfectly fine... ask your doctor if you are concerned... :) Don't worry!!

Yes, I believe it is normal to fluctuate like that.....
(It is my guess you will have a BOY......boy's heart rates are much lower than girls)...
Congratulations, and let me know if I am right!
