So is a Diver a smart player or not?

I see many ppl saying he's a diver,he's a cheater!!

So if a soccer player dives without getting caught is called smart!! right?

But if u cheat in life in what ever u do,without getting caught is called "SMARTNESS"

For example:I use to cheat in exams and Quizes back at school without getting caught,I know im a cheater but a smart @$$ too!!

He is smart only because FIFA allows it to contiune. I was appaled watching the last World Cup. It is an ugly part of the game.

I mean come on you got hand pushed in the back, why are you rolling around holding the front of your forehead??

These dives do supply much needed place kicks, which in turn supply much needed offensive opportunities, but when it occurs in the box it contaminates the rightful outcome of the game.

I think its disgraceful because when I played I NEVER EVER would take a dive.
I was too proud. I would rather consume your penalty and still get by you for a better chance on goal since you are now out of position.

Its a morals vs rules situation.
If you dont mind exploiting the rules then you can benefit. I dont call that smart. I could benefit by stealing the change out of a bums coin can but I wont stoop that low either.

FIFA needs to address this ugly part of the game. After every game they should review all plays where cards were issued or free kicks awarded. If they find that the Ref was baited into issuing the card or awarding the free kick by a dive the diving player should be red carded and his team should have to play the next game with 10.
I mean what ever happened to winning because you earned it fair and square?? I would rather physically beat my way past my opponent instead of cheating and sliding by.
Isnt that a more enjoyable victory and memory in the long run??

You have a good point there. You see, divers are cheaters. I know cuz i've seen many and i'm sure everyone has as well. Lets point out the divers: smart ones are the ones who dive well and don't get caught. In other words, they get away with it, due to real diving skills or the ref was just bought! Then there are stupid cheaters. Those are the ones who dive but that fake dive isn't really named a foul. Lastly there are the retarted cheaters. Those are the ones who dive and get a yellow card themselves. Get it now?

No I think he is still a cheat, if you have to dive to get a call or set up a play to get an advantage, then personally I think you lack the skills of becoming a great player. A good player becomes great when he can change the dynamic of the game without diving.

People basically know the difference between right and wrong. Ask yourself how would you like to be treated ? Than treat others accordingly.

Would the Italian national football team had been happy if an Australian dove and earned a penalty, thus eliminating them from the cup ? Would they had been happy if the United States team deciding to elbow Totti in the face after Italy had scored.

I think not. The fact they do these things anyway show a profound lack of character.

thats just like saying that someone is smart if they cheat on a test and dont get caught. so if morality means nothing to a person, or winning a game means more than morality then yes it is smart.

Yes, he's smart. The referrees need to step up, and start showing cards for diving. It's the only way to stop it.

if you dive all the time sometimes you dont get penalities that you should like andy jonshon but if you get away with it i guess it is smart
