If you're asking here you haven't got a chance..

The best you'll do is obtain script-kiddie status.

If you mean breaking in to other computers and stuff like that it's really hard to get into I would recomend that you first learn a simple programming language like python or ruby so you can get a basic understanding of how your computer works and what all is going on inside. Then I would just search the internet for some generealized hacking tutorials I'm pretty sure they're about 5 or 6 podcast on iTunes that have really good techniques and you can learn a lot from them. You may also want to install linux, bsd, or buy a mac beacause you can do so much more with a unix based system than you can with a windwos system. Fix up an old system that you've had laying around the house or go to a school surplus sale where you can get some computers that you're not afraid to tear up and install linux on it set it up as a web server and try breaking into it or crashing it. Get on IRC and find some channels about hacking ask some of the people on there if they would teach you or show you some techniques some will turn you down but some will teach you some really useful stuff. After you have done all that you may want to learn some bigger better computer languages like C or C++. Finally read .... read everything thing about computers that you can get your hands on read until you feel you know everthing and then read some more.

For starters hacking can mean accessing a files you are not supposed to. Hacking is unauthorized access to a computer, or other machines.
You should first learn some networking before trying to hack. I would suggest you check your local laws for computer usage or abuse policies. By accessing unauthorized wifi signal that is unsercured, I believe is a crime now.

Reason you should learn some background info on this is because you may cause some damage and get yourself in deep trouble with the law.

Now to answer your question, its difficult to answer it w/o knowing what you are trying to accomplish.
Something intermediate would be to receive an e-mail from someone you know, break that down into packets which may tell you the destination and source IP address. Then, you can either locate the source by inputting that IP address on websites that can locate an IP address, and get a longitude, and lattitude of where that computer can be. Then perhaps for kicks and giggles you can get a program and enter that IP address and turn that computer off.
I know this is a lot of mumbo jumbo.. but like I said, w/o knowing what you are trying to accomplish, I can't help you.

Hacking means lots of things. It *may* (but not necessarily) mean getting around the intent of a piece of software's use. It may also mean avoiding a piece of software's limitations.

Only one example: in writing a website, one uses CSS (a styling language). There are minor differences in the way that Internet Explorer interprets CSS, and the way Firefox interprets CSS. One may "hack" the CSS file so that Internet Explorer reads part of the file and Firefox doesn't, and Firefox reads part of the file and Internet Explorer doesn't, so that as a result, the web page is displayed the same way for folks who view the web page in either browser.

Hope this helps.

You should not "start hacking." Hacking is illegal, harmful, and can really piss off alot of people. People who are currently hackers are turning billions of people's computers into online criminals without the owners even knowing. It is a horrible thing to do. If I were you, I would learn positive things to do with computers and computer science.

Your inexperience would probably land you in alot of trouble early because you have no idea what your getting into.

start up sluggish. do no longer snow the horse decrease than. it relatively is quite sturdy for the childrens head to get him out and approximately early, in basic terms as area of his universal preparation. pay attention on your ethical experience and if at any 2d some thing would not experience authentic, lower back off. it relatively is significant which you communicate all opportunities and eventualities and be waiting, prepared and in a position to handle them contained in the 2d. there's a brilliant area between being backed and hacking out on my own. if your horse seems to you for preparation and management, have at it. if your horse spooks and leaves you, do no longer take him out on my own. .
