World cup should be of only top 8 ODI rank teams+2 team from mini World Cup.. Each team should play to each other and then top 4 should qualify.
There should be Mini world cup before this and any team over ODI ranking 8 should play and top 2 qualify for World Cup.
This will give chance to team rank 9 and above to show their best and 2 best will get in W-Cup.
In W-Cup all ten will play to each other so even ateam does not do well in 1 or 2 match.. they will be in race.
This will keep excitementin the game.

yeah dude i agree with u, obviously one day cricket is not only skills there should be certain amount of luck too, in a given day u have to perform well, to win a game, coming back to the point, at this years world cup we saw two great teams go out of the world cup, coz they had one bad day of cricket,

I fully agree with you. As per the present format, the winner of the world cup cannot be considered as the best team in the world as they did not play against some of the strong teams which get eliminated from the group stage due to shock defeat by the minor teams as in the present case because the teams qualifying the semi finals have not played against India and Pakistan

The format of 1992 wc cricket is the suitable.it is obvious from the shown fact that Pakistan who began the adventure badly by using loosing interior the opening suits and later went directly to win the cup.interior the present version of ICCWC, glamourous communities like India and Pakistan confronted an early go out merely because of the fact they had a bad day against the minnows.it would do a international of good if the adventure lined 8 appropriate ranked communities alongside with 2 minnows(who competes for their place interior the cup by using Inter continental cups)

Won't your suggested format make the number of teams that play in the world cup few? I think you should reconsider your format!!

and there should be more matched per day..to sum up the world cup within 15 days max.
and also there should be world cup qualifying matches..invite all playing teams to qualifying matches rather than inviting minnos to world cup and let them earn to enter.

Look how boring it became when both india and Pakistan had to exit from the first round, due to 50% bad-luck and 50% bad performance!
