I don't think they will have "blood on their hands" per say, but I believe it's irresponsible of them to constantly run the video clips and sensationalize this tragedy in a manner that will inspire someone already thinking of doing something like this. CNN and the media can't control what others do, and this event at VT isn't their fault, but they could report this story in such a way that doesn't "hype" it up so much. Calling it the "VT Massacre", instead of "tragedy", is just one way they could report the story, but not play into the minds of psychotic killers who want to be immortalized by committing a crime like this. Constantly playing the video's of this guy is also putting bad thoughts into the minds of those who might already be thinking about doing something like this. The media should find a way to report the news, but in a responsible manner.

Oh my goodness what's occurring with the individuals of u . s . a . that this many anybody is flying off the cope with? i don't think of NBC or the media is responsible for reporting what's incredibly occurring... without or with the photographs and such, it would nonetheless be pronounced the small print of what befell, regardless of each and every thing, this grew to become into the biggest important different and infants mass killing..... properly, besides Waco.

No. The one who have blood on their hands are the ones who knew he needed help and did nothing. CNN did what it is supposed to do. It did not sensationalize anything. If anything it kept the level of reporting at a low key.

It's a dilemma, how much to cover an event like this, It is certainly newsworthy. Yet your concern that it will inspire copycats has validity. On the other hand, if we can learn something from studying these events, it will be good to do so.
To CNN, of course, the main basis of their decision will be profits.

NO! That is what is wrong with our society, just because you see it on TV or in the movies you are still responsible for your own actions. How can they have blood on their hands? Are they going to do the killing? Duh.

Well in that case I guess Hollywood needs to quit putting out alot movies and people like Stephen King should quit writing!!!!!
